The Grammy winner also opened up about his drag past, explaining that he didn't own any "male" clothing for a large portion of his life: "I would wear full make-up every day in school, eyelashes, leggings with Dr. Martens and huge fur coats, for 2 1/2 years," he said. "I got teased for it. But there were also people respecting me for walking around like that in my school."

Smith recently shared this Instagram wearing cherry red pumps, captioned "Ride or Die."
