It's a sign of the times or, rather, just a sign that's causing controversy for Harry Styles. The former One Direction frontman and current beautiful rock star came under fire in recent weeks for allegedly failing to acknowledge a Black Lives Matter flag at his concert in London, while consistently acknowledging the LGBTQ community and parading pride flags at his shows.
It was during the London show that someone threw a BLM flag on stage and others held up little BLM posters in the crowd. Rather than holding it or acknowledging the signs, it was a member of opening act MUNA who held up the sign on stage. While this might seem like a slight against the Black Lives Matter movement, it isn't clear whether he simply failed to notice the signs.
In response to the mounting backlash from fans over his lack of acknowledgement, though, he's taken to his Instagram and to the stage of his Stockholm concert to speak out. On Instagram, he posted a shot of the BLM signs with the word "Love," while, in Stockholm, he took a moment to say this: "I love every single one of you. If you are black, if you are white. If you are gay, if you are straight, if you are transgender. Whoever you are, whoever you want to be. I support you. I love every single one of you."
