"It is with deep honor and humility that I accept this ambassadorship"

St. Vincent might not be the ambassador to a small island off Russia, but she's the perfect choice to be the first woman ambassador for Record Store Day. However, you can see in a Funny or Die video about the announcement, if Clarke was named an ambassador, she'd to a pretty good job.

Annie Clarke, the fictitious Saint's real name, will be the first women to helm the ceremonial ambassadorship. Previous ambassadors include Ozzy Ozzborne, Iggy Pop, Dave Grohl and Jesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal, who created the ambassadorship when he named himself to the position in 2009.

Record Store Day is an event created 10 years ago to celebrate local indie record stores, which have been on the rise since nostalgia revived the classic form of listening to music. Common RSD festivities include limited edition vinyl releases, performances and cookouts, among others.

"It is with deep honor and humility that I accept this ambassadorship," Clark said. "Rest assured I do not take my duties lightly." Her title may be fake and the position may not be all that serious, leave promoting the event, but the announcement photo she posted today is enough to make us want whatever Clarke is selling.
