Is the "Me & U" songstress planning a 2017 comeback?
Anything from 2006 deserves to make a comeback, and thankfully the incredible chanteuse that brought us pop's minimal keystone, "Me & U," is plotting her long-awaited return.
At the VMAs last year, Cassie fooled everyone, saying she'd be releasing a new single, "Make Up;" and six months later, we had all but given up hope that our dreams would become a reality. Yet this month, the skies have opened and raining down upon us is a teaser to a new Cassie song on Instagram--and ladies, it sounds good.
"All night I'm laying around, I am trying to get it right; something keeps pushing me back," Cassie sings above a sample of Tycho's 2011 track, "A Walk."
The Instagram post's caption reads, "glass ceiling," so perhaps that's the song's title, and tagged is producer and longtime Diddy collaborator Mario Winans, so it's likely he assisted Cassie in some form.
With no clear release date or further details from Cassie, all we can do is rest idly and listen to "Me & U" on repeat.
