Rihanna Joins Forces with Kendrick Lamar on 'Loyalty'

Kendrick Lamar released today his fourth studio album, DAMN., and with it a dream duet, called "LOYALTY.," featuring Rihanna. Produced by Terrace Martin, Sounwave and DJ Dahi, the album standout sees K-Dot and Princess RiRi trading boastful rhymes about allegiance.

"It's a secret society, all we ask is trust," the two sing together, their delivery nonchalant and slurred. The lyric is a direct reference to Jay Z's track, "Get Your Mind Right Mami," from 2000's The Dynasty: Roc La Familia. "All we got is us / Loyalty," Lamar and Rihanna conclude.

Ri also rolls out some appropriately bad gal raps: "Been a bad bitch way before any cash came," she says. "I'm established / Hundred carats on my name / Run the atlas, I'm a natural," ultimately ending the track by admitting, "It's so hard to be humble."

"LOYALTY." marks Lamar's first collaboration with Rihanna, though she's discussed another time on DAMN. when the rapper references on "FEAR." her infamous legal battle with former accountant who allegedly mismanaged Rihanna's finances.
