Macy Rodman Shares Bloodthirsty 'She Will Be a Relic One Day' Lyric Video

Macy Rodman

"I want to see you die."

Brooklyn-based performer Macy Rodman is gearing up to release her debut full-length album, The Lake, teasing the new project today with a lyric video for "She Will Be a Relic One Day." Premiered through Sweat Equity, the campy visual sees Rodman's floating head mouthing her lyrics against a stark black backdrop.

"Nobody sees her around much anymore," Rodman sings with her signature nasally tenor before the track breaks into a pounding chorus, her vocals manipulated to sound like a booming, unapologetic demon. "I want to see you die," she declares, baring teeth with blood-thirsty eyes.

The rising transgender pop star previously released an official music video for "She Will Be a Relic One Day," which saw Rodman thrashing around a DIY set, as today's lyric video visuals screened behind her. "I was angry about the threat of a fascist regime and didn't know what I could do about it," Rodman told the Fader about her track. "In the end, the song for me is about harnessing rage and fighting the urge to be reckless with it."
