Solange Uses Entire Guggenheim as Interdisciplinary Performance Space

This week a very lucky few were treated to a one-of-a-kind performance experience. As part of the Red Bull Music Academy Festival, Solange played two intimate shows at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City. The show, Solange: An Ode To, used the museum's iconic structural setting to showcase the interdisciplinary performance, choreographed, musically directed, and composed by Solange herself. Examining themes from the Grammy-winner's album, A Seat at the Table, a full band, horn ensembl and dancers performed for the likes of Zoe Kravitz, Bjork, Questlove and Deray McKesson.
