An unreleased song written in 2003 for Britney Spears' In The Zone has surfaced online this week. The track, titled "Take Off," was co-penned by Spears with Michelle Bell (Jennifer Lopez, Girls Aloud), and touts a message of self-love and solidarity--perfect for today's polarizing political climate.
"They say get ready for the revolution, I think it's time we found some sorta solution," Spears croons on the song. "This is my wish that we all feel connected, this is my wish that nobody's neglected."

While the song didn't make the final cut for In The Zone's tracklist, Idolatorreports that Bell said, "I think people would have looked at her and thought she had something to say" after hearing the track, adding that "it was ahead of its time."
The song is also laced with space-inspired rocket imagery, which is always very fun. It's a shame "Take Off" was never officially released--the music video would have been an ideal companion video to 2000's "Oops... I Did It Again."
