Drew Barrymore Makes a Cameo in SZA's New 'Drew Barrymore' Video

SZA

The wintry Dave Meyers-directed visual was captured in NYC.

Fresh off the release of her debut full-length CTRL, SZA dropped a music video today for her album highlight, "Drew Barrymore." Shot during the cold east coast winter, the Dave Meyers-directed visual was captured in NYC, showing the sultry songstress and her friends slinking around local haunts, from laundromats to snowy sledding hills and rooftops.

"Do you really wanna love me down like you say you do?" the Jersey native questions, as the real life Drew Barrymore makes a brief, smiling cameo (around the 2:15 mark). Beautifully personal and powerful, SZA's video is a romantic depiction of everyday city life, with quick, fleeting moments of surreal drama through effortless choreography on the crosswalk and sidewalk.
