Lady Gaga's Born This Way highlight, "You And I," has proven to foreshadow the pop star's most recent chapter, which has leaned heavily into Americana country-rock and decidedly abandoned her power-pop roots. Following news that herBud Light Dive Bar Tour will be extended, it's been revealed that Gaga also sings backup vocals on Lukas Nelson's new self-titled country album (in her most Joanne move to date).

Lukas, who's famously the son of Willie Nelson, performs at the front of his six-piece band, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real--known for their big live performances and "cosmic country soul" sound. Gaga lends her vocals to two Texas-tinged songs, "Carolina" and "Find Yourself," both of which pull sonic inspiration from Nelson's father, "uncles" Kris Kristofferson and Waylon Jenning, as well as Neil Young.
"I knew I had a lot of good songs that transcended the cultural boundaries between rock & roll and country," Lukas says. "We owe a lot to Neil; we made this record after coming off the road with him for two years. Neil's been mentoring us, and we've been absorbing that energy, and I think it shows. We got acclimated to a different level of artistic expression. I wanted to get the songs as pure as they could be. We've grown."
Gaga's presence on "Find Yourself" is subtle, but impactful. "I know the love that I deserve," she wails behind Lukas, echoing the self-confidence on Joanne highlight, "Diamond Heart," before continuing. "I hope you find yourself, before I find somebody else to be my lover." Listen, below.
