Lifted off their breakout Boys Love EP, out August 18.
TWINKIDS' newly released single, "Overdressed," dives bravely into the emotionally turbulent waters of a new relationship.
Gene Fukui and Matt Young, the duo behind TWINKIDS, both studied at Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music. Since college, the LA-based, queer pop group released singles "Dreamer" and "ACBTY" in 2015, establishing TWINKIDS as soulful lyricists who aren't afraid to experiment with harmonies and percussions.
Their latest single "Overdressed," inspired by Gene's real-life dating experience, is a sultry, electronic track they wrote to capture "the euphoric feeling of new love and the toxicity of passion expressed in the flips between bouncy verses and big four-on-the floor choruses to really quiet moments in the track."
TWINKIDS' EP, Boys Love will be released by Om Records on August 18. Listen, below.
