Lifted off the London PC Music producer's 1UL EP.
PC Music producer Danny L Harle has released the music video for "Me4U," starring Drag Race alum Kim Chi as a live-action anime character. The Matt Copson-directed visual features the season eight star lip-syncing guest vocalist Morrie's words, surrounded by cutesy plushies and wearing creepy, cracked porcelain makeup. It's an unlikely, but brilliant pairing--Harle's shimmering pop production with Chi's campy, ultra-glam look.
"I first met Kim Chi when I met up with her and Naomi Smalls in Korea earlier this year," Harle told The Fader. "We both happened to be in Seoul--they were out there doing a show and I was opening for Carly [Rae Jepsen]. The vocalist who sings 'Me4U' is Morrie, who I initially met on the same trip to Seoul. The song and video would have never happened had it not been for that one trip."
