Boogie dubs over the original lyrics with self-empowering, inclusive and proud rhetoric.
Queer Brooklyn rapper Jay Boogie has released a remix to the chart-topping "Rockstar" by Post Malone and 21 Savage, dubbing over the original lyrics with self-empowering, inclusive and proud rhetoric.
"All your insecurities you could leave that shit in 2017," Boogie purrs as the song's signature gloomy synths begin. Rewriting the heteronormative verses of the single--which, incidentally, has spent 15 consecutive weeks in the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 1--Boogie instead employs phrases like, "If I don't like the way you penetrate then you know I'm gonna top ya."
