Sufjan Stevens Released a Video For His Call Me By Your Name Track 'Mystery of Love'

Call Me by Your Name

It's full of movie clips so you can properly cry along to it.

If you were looking for a good reason to lay down in a fetal position and cry, congratulations. Sufjan Stevens has released a music video for his heartbreaking track "Mystery of Love," which you've no doubt cried to if you saw Call Me by Your Name.

Stevens wrote the track and "Visions of Gideon" for the movie about the dream love story of Elio and Oliver and, in the video, he makes full use of our emotions with clips from the Luca Guadagnino-directed movie. Since its inception, Stevens has been intertwined in the movie after Guadagnino had him to contribute two original songs and the Doveman remix of the Age of Adz track "Futile Devices." He was even asked to narrate the film and make a cameo but declined, likely to spare us from weeping even more by the time the credits rolled.

Between this and his ode to Tonya Harding, we thought that Stevens couldn't be any more of a queer icon, but we're ready to expect the unexpected in 2018. Watch the video below.
