Dua Lipa Breaks Record for Female Artist Brit Award Nominations

"New Rules" singer Dua Lipa has made Brit Awards history with 5 nominations, the most for a female artist in a single year in the show's history. She tweeted this sentiment after learning of the news:

Lipa is nominated for Best Female Artist, Best Album, Best Single, Best Video, and Best Breakthrough. Ed Sheeran follows behind her with four nominations.

The awards will take place at London's O2 Arena on February 21. Other artists that were nominated include Lorde, P!nk, Drake, Beck, and Childish Gambino.
