The girls are back in town! Nicole Scherzinger and the rest of the Pussycat Dolls will reportedly be reuniting for the first time in over 10 years this weekend for the season finale of the X Factor: Celebrity.
X Factor judge Louis Walsh went on the ITV talk show Lorraine on Monday to announce the news. "The Pussycat Dolls are the guest [for the finale]," he said. "There's an exclusive for you!" The group's appearance on the U.K. singing competition will mark the Pussycat Dolls' first time performing together since 2009.
We've known for a few months that the iconic girl group was working on new material, but we had no idea when a public reunion would finally happen. Now we do.
The exact song, or songs, that the Dolls will be performing haven't been announced yet, but all of our favorites -- from Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Kimberley Wyatt, Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar, and Melody Thornton -- will be performing together at the reality singing competition's final episode of the season, taking place on Saturday.
Personally, I'm hoping they sing "Stickwitu" or "When I Grow Up." But no matter what they sing, I can't wait to watch this performance on repeat three dozen times.
We've all desperately missed the highly choreographed and sexy "Buttons" singers ever since they split in 2009 after Scherzinger decided to focus on her solo career. After releasing two records -- including 2014's Big Fat Lie -- she has been a guest judge on shows like The X Factor UK and The Masked Singer.
The Pussycat Dolls will be performing alongside the four finalists, The Chase's Jenny Ryan, twin CBBC stars Max & Harvey, reality star Megan McKenna, and V5, a girl group made up of Latina social media influencers.
