Iggy Azalea Casts Shea Couleé and Miss Vanjie in Her New Video
UPDATE 3/12/19: Like RuPaul bringing back Cynthia Lee Fontaine, Iggy has added yet another queen to the "Sally Walker" video. Shea Coulee tweeted a photo with the rapper, presumably from the video's set, on Monday.
On Friday, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea will drop the first music video from her highly anticipated new albumIn My Defense. The lead single "Sally Walker" already has plenty of social media buzz thanks to the rapper's steady stream of teases from the video, including her collaboration with YouTube beauty guru James Charles, who beat Azalea's mug for both the video shoot and the album cover.
In a video on his YouTube channel, Charles broke down Azalea's drag-inspired look, a colorful change from her normal neutral glam. Now we have an idea why Azalea felt the need to step things up with her makeup: she's got to look as fierce as her drag queen co-stars.
On Saturday, the rapper tweeted a new tease from the video featuring none other than Drag Race legends Mayhem Miller and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo (nee Miss Vanjie).

The rapper has teased that the video takes place at a funeral, and Miller and Mateo are dressed to mourn. Maybe they'll be sickening pallbearers?
Azalea has been effusive with her appreciation for drag queens, tweeting in January that she has "so much respect & love for drag queens. They make me feel like such a boring bitch. The amount of sheer personality alone put into the looks & performances really is something we could all take notes on."
Azalea's "Sally Walker" music video drops Friday, with In My Defense to follow this spring. It will be Azalea's first release under her label Bad Dreams after leaving Island Records.
