Just in time for Pride, Lizzo has released the music video for her pop hit "Soulmate" and she included Queer Eye's Fab Five to make it even more fabulous! The animated queer quintet bop in and out of this eye-popping, beat-pumping homage to self-love.
In the video, an animated Lizzo is shown strutting solo around SoHo with a "me, myself kinda attitude." She's periodically joined by Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk, Antoni Porowski, Tan France, and Jonathan Van Ness as they share messages of self-confidence and empowerment, and the importance of being true to yourself.
The cast used their Queer Eye Instagram earlier today to reveal "the hottest collabed on the hottest project you never knew you needed." And let's just say they weren't exaggerating.
Lizzo's videos are known for their colorful visuals and high energy beat, and "Soulmate" does not disappoint. She had taken a more monochromatically visual approach in her video for "Cuz I Love You," but she's back again in full color this time.
The genre-defying singer stunned listeners last year with "Juice," which Rolling Stone called the "first great song of the year." Though some people knew the singer was also an accomplished flautist, in 2019, she let everyone know that jazz flute was cool again.
