Sam Smith and Kim Petras' new single "Unholy" has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 charts in a major, major way.

In the Billboard charts that will officially be released tomorrow, "Unholy" sits at number 3 on the Hot 100 and number one on the Global 200.

After they recently debuted the music video for the song, which was already a hit in England and on TikTok, the two artists now get to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Smith has previously had 19 songs chart on the Billboard Hot 100, including 6 top ten hits. His highest charting single is "Stay With Me," which peaked at number 2 and spent 54 weeks on the chart. This is his highest-charting single since then, and if it hits number 1, it will be his first number one song.

This is Petras' first time in the top five, and her first time in the Hot 100. Previously, her highest charting songs were "Villain" by K/DA featuring Madison Beer and herself, which hit #4 on the World Digital chart, "Broken Glass" with Kygo, which hit #13 on the U.S. Dance chart, and "Feeling of Falling," with Cheat Codes, which went to number 23 on the US Dance charts. This is the highest debut for an act's first time on the Hot 100 chart since Zayn's "Pillowtalk."

Petras celebrated her first top five hit on Instagram.

"This little German idiot got her first top 5 on the Hot 100 and number 1 on the Global 200," she wrote. "Thank you to everyone who believed in me all these years, you know who you are! I can never thank you enough @samsmith. Bunheads ur the realest ilysm."

The number one song on the Hot 100 starting tomorrow is Steve Lacy's "Bad Habit," which spent four weeks at number two behind Harry Styles' "As it Was." Lacy is also queer, making Styles the lone cis, het singer in the top three.
