On Friday, October 21, Taylor Swift released her highly-anticipated 10th studio album, Midnights. With it, the singer also released a teaser of the upcoming music videos that she's made for the album.
The teaser reveals that trans actor and model Laith Ashley will be featured in an upcoming music video from Midnights where he will apparently play Swift's love interest. Other notable stars who will appear in these new music videos include John Early, Laura Dern, the Haim sisters, and Dita Von Teese.

It is a huge deal for a trans actor to be playing Swift's love interest in a music video given that she is one of the biggest popstars in the world and Midnights is already one of the biggest albums to be released in 2022. On Instagram, Ashley thanked Swift for allowing him to be a part of this project. The actor shared the Midnights teaser trailer wrote:
"You are magic. Thank you for letting me play a small part in your story."
It is still unclear which video Ashley will appear in, but the teaser trailer shows him in bed with Swift sharing an intimate moment, which heavily suggests that he'll play a love interest for the singer.
Midnights is already an incredibly exciting release, and Ashley's involvement in a music video makes it even better!
