2023 is looking like Miley.
After "NEW YEAR NEW MILEY" posters have been spotted around Los Angeles, New York, Spain, and more, fans are mentally preparing for a new era from the former Disney channel pop star.

Cyrus even updated her social media bios to the phrase. This upcoming era would be a follow-up to her 2020 album Plastic Hearts, which featured songs like "Prisoner" featuring Dua Lipa and "WTF Do I Know".
Cyrus also recently launched a countdown on her website. It counts down to New Year's Day. This coincides with Miley's New Year's Eve Party, her celebratory special that will air on Peacock and NBC on December 31. Dolly Parton will be cohosting the special and Sia, Latto, and Rae Sremmurd are confirmed as guests. It's unclear if Cyrus will be releasing music alongside the celebration, but fans are holding out hope.

Earlier this year, Cyrus released a live studio album that included unreleased songs "You" and "Attention". Perhaps those songs will be featured in whatever era she's cooking up next? There was also a photo of Cyrus posted recently with Mike Will Made It, who produced a few songs on her 2013 album Bangerz. Fans believe they're working together again, perhaps on some more hip-hip leaning songs? Cyrus has also been confirmed to appear on Morrissey's upcoming album Bonfire of Teenagers.
