The annual iHeartRadio Music Awards took place last night in Los Angeles, and the one and only Jennifer Lopez was honored at the celebrity-packed event with the prestigious Icon Award.
"I appreciate this so much, so very, very much," Lopez said in her acceptance speech. "I wish I could tell you that awards were the most important to me, but that's not true. And don't think that I don't appreciate the shiny, sparkly things, because I do! I cannot lie, everybody knows that I do. But this isn't why I do this. It's not what matters most to me. I really do it for you guys."
Of course, after a career spanning over three decades and with too many legendary music, movie, and TV projects under her belt to name (personal favorites of mine and many others include Hustlers, Selena, and The Wedding Planner), we already knew J to the L-O was an absolute icon, but you can't just accept an "icon" award at an event and not show folks why they gave it to you in the first place! So in addition to taking home a trophy, Lopez took to the stage and gave us yet another iconic performance of her tracks "On My Way" and "Get Right."
And she enlisted the help of some of our RuPaul's Drag Race and Pose faves!
Starting off the performance was none other than Emmy-winning Pray Tell actor Billy Porter, who kicked off a JLo-themed runway by stating, "the word for tonight is ICON!"
Then, channeling their best "Jenny from the Block," multiple queens served the crowd their best Jennifer Lopez looks, and the results were mesmerizing! Queens in attendance included Kerri Colby (who wore Lopez's iconic green Versace dress that she also wore during the "Night of a Thousand JLos" runway on season 14), Jorgeous, April Carrion, Laganja Estranja, Naysha Lopez, Kimora Blac, Alyssa Hunter, Mariah Balenciaga, and so many others.
In short, the entire affair was SICKENING. But don't just take our word for it -- relive the entire performance in the video below!
