Walk into the world tour purse first!
Madonna recently announced a brand-new world tour named The Celebration Tour, which will feature all of her biggest hits from four decades in the music industry. Joining her on tour is Bob the Drag Queen, best known for cohosting HBO's Emmy Award-winning series We're Here and winning season eight of RuPaul's Drag Race.
The official statement reads:
"The Celebration Tour will offer a one-of-a-kind experience with special guest Bob the Drag Queen a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue across all dates on the global tour."
While competing on Drag Race, Bob dressed up as Madonna for a runway challenge category named "Night of a Thousand Madonnas." Bob's chosen outfit was Madge's Boy Scout uniform that she wore for the GLAAD Awards back in 2013.
The North American leg of The Celebration Tour will start in Vancouver, BC on July 15 and end in Las Vegas, NV on October 7. The tour will then have a European leg that kicks off in London, United Kingdom on October 14 and runs through December 1 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Madonna announced this new tour in a celebrity-filled video that shows footage of her having dinner with friends and playing a game of "truth or dare." The video featured Amy Schumer, Jack Black, Meg Stalter, Judd Apatow, Lil Wayne, and Diplo, among others. Bob also appears in the video, of course, sitting at the right-hand side of the Madge herself - quite a coveted spot!
Needless to say, fans are already excited not only to see Madonna back on the road with The Celebration Tour but also to find out what Bob will be doing alongside the Queen of Pop herself as they travel around the globe. Expect gags, goops, and shenanigans!
