Joan Rivers in Stable Condition After She Stopped Breathing During Surgery

The 81-year-old comedy legend was rushed to New York’s Mount Sinai hospital after complications during vocal cord surgery.

According to Page Six, Joan Rivers is in stable condition after she stopped breathing during throat surgery.

Rivers was undergoing a procedure on her vocal cords at a clinic in New York's Upper East Side when she stopped breathing. She was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where it was reported that she was in critical condition.

E! News' Ken Baker reports that Joan is now in stable condition. Her daughter Melissa is en route to New York.
