Former American Idol finalist Clay Aiken was in a tough battle with Republican representative Renee Ellmers, who long led him in this race for North Carolina's GOP-leaning 2nd Congressional District. Democrat Aiken worked to distance himself from President Obama, something for which Bill Maher tore him apart.
