A poll recently conducted in Europe shows that about half of the participants at Pride events are heterosexual, according to Pink News.
The results from the poll were released just as Stockholm opened its 18th annual LGBT celebration.
Taken last year during Pride by research team from the University of Gothenburg, the poll showed that six out of ten people at the parade were women, and four out of ten identified as heterosexual.
Results from the study also showed that many of the participants joined spontaneously, with about 42% of people between the ages of 30 and 49, and 35% under the age of 29.
Stockholm Pride takes is takes place this year from July 27 to August 1.
