A new YouGov poll out of the United Kingdom shows that, among people aged 18-24, 49% do not identify as purely heterosexual. While the findings indicate that 89% of the British population do see themselves as strictly straight, there is clearly a growing openess towards sexuality among younger generations.
Utilizing the Kinsey scale (where a 0 was exclusively heteresoxual, and a 6 exclusively homosexual), the poll found that many identify as shades of bisexual, aknowledging varying levels of attraction or interest in the same sex.
Let's hope this is a trend that continues!
