"I love and accept myself to the point where I finally can talk about this," says Jeydon Wale.
Jeydon Wale joined YouTube nine years ago today. To honor the anniversary, Wale came out as trans to his 845,000 followers.
"I love and accept myself to the point where I finally can talk about this. My name is Jeydon Whale and I am female to male transgender," he explained in the video. "What that means is I have always been a boy. Like, me, I have always been a boy. My body said otherwise at birth."
Wale has been a YouTube sensation for most of his childhood. "The reason why I'm posting this on my nine years is because YouTube, as you guys know, has changed my entire life."
But Wale's road to bravery and self-positivity was not always easy: "When I joined...I was so unbelievably depressed."
