First they come for Hamilton. Now this?
Anthony Scaramucci, an economic adviser on the Trump campaign, recently did an interview for HARDtalk on BBC radio in which he claimed Sir Elton John would be performing at the inauguration for President-elect Trump. He also mentioned Trump's pro-gay stance during the interview.
Elton John is going to be doing our concert on the mall for inauguration....This will be the first American president in US history that enters the White House with a pro-gay rights stance.
As hard of both of those points are to imagine, at least one is false. John's publicist denied the claim that he would be performing at the ceremony. On the contrary, the iconic musician performed at fundraisers for Hillary Clinton and objected to usage of his songs "Rocket Man" and "Tiny Dancer" at Trump's rallies and appearances during the election.
Tough luck, Trump. Maybe someone from Hamilton is available?
