Yesterday, Huntville, Alabama hosted the HIV is Not a Crime Training Academy, and while presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton wasn't able to attend, she did send in her thoughts on the matter via video.
Clinton offered her condolences for those affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and expressed her gratitude for how far we as a nation have come in treating and peventing this disease in the last few decades. She also stressed how damaging the virus is today, particularly in "communities of color, transgender people, young people, and gay and bisexual men."
In the video Clinton also promised to fight for easier access to PrEP and lower costs for the HIV medication, as well as reforming laws stigmatizing those infected with the virus.
