Spread the Love: #TwoMenKissing Trends in Response to Orlando Killer's Motive

While a specific motive might feel almost beside the point in a tragedy such as the Orlando massacre, many have taken to social media to react to killer Omar Mateen's father's suggestion that his son was angry at seeing two men kissing in Miami a number of months ago, or more recent revelations that the younger Mateen may have in fact been gay himself.

Whether or not these claims are true, the hashtag #TwoMenKissing has started trending, with photos depicting exactly that offended the murderer.

Many different couples have taken to Instagram with photos of #TwoMenKissing, along with words of support and love for the victims and their families. Women have also taken photos in the same vein. At last count, there are over 3,500 insta posts featuring the hashtag.
