Imagine fitting so comfortably into the status quo that as an LGBTQ American you cast your vote for Donald Trump. That's exactly what adult film actor Colby Keller did, and months later and two weeks into Trump's executive order-laden presidency, he stands by his decision.
"I'm a little surprised he's as aggressive on 'the wall' as he said he would be," Keller told Mel Magazine, "but I'm not surprised people like Trump and corporate America are going to the lengths they are in a system that's no longer defensible. They'll stop at nothing."
So of all the things Donald Trump has done in the last two weeks, re: his scarily incompetent cabinet picks, massive Muslim immigration ban, firing the acting attorney general over said ban, and revealing (to no one's surprise) that the American people will have to pay for his compensatory wall, the wall was the most surprising. Ok, at least we know where Keller's head is on this one.
Mel writes: "whatever reservations Keller may have about Trump are outweighed by his hatred of the status quo."
Hate to break it to you, but being white, conventionally attractive, and straight-passing make you a part of the status quo. It's easy to be selfish and make a publicity stunt out of your vote in the most controversial election in recent history when, at the end of the day, you probably won't be much worse off than you started. Except now everyone knows you're a confirmed asshole. Read Keller's interview with Mel, where he tears into Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and essentially admits he wants our government overthrown, here.
