Mexico Subway Installs 'Penis Seat' To Raise Sexual Harassment Awareness

"9 out of 10 women in Mexico City have been victims of some form of sexual violence."
Mexico City's Metro system has installed a "penis seat" on one of its trains to raise awareness about sexual violence experienced by women every day.
The seat, molded to look like a man's chest, belly button and crotch (with a flacid penis) has a sign above it reading, "It's uncomfortable to sit here, but it doesn't compare with the sexual violence that women suffer in their everyday lives. 9 out of 10 women in Mexico City have been victims of some form of sexual violence."
A video accompanying the campaign shows different commuters reacting to the seat with horror--some sit down on it before jumping up in surprise, others look at it with distaste, and still others try and force their friends onto it. It's an unusual piece of public art, but an important one, bringing awareness to some startling data. Take a look, below:
