It turns out Solange isn't just taking a seat at the table of music. The artist has also been sitting down for dinner at the legendary Los Angeles soul food spot, My Two Cents, over the years. Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall, the beloved diner has become a favorite in LA thanks to the work of owner Alisa Reynolds, who was a chef to such clientele as Barack Obama and Common before starting the restaurant.

Now, Solange and fellow musician and My Two Cents patron Earl Sweatshirt are giving back for a special Wine and Grind event to raise money for the health-conscious California soul food diner. After a legal battle with a pair of former backers, Reynolds needs help raising $130,000 to settle the lawsuit and keep the doors open.
That's where Solange and Sweatshirt come in. The duo are going to "curate jams" for a part on Friday to benefit the restaurant. The event is described as "an evening to bring together community to support the imprint chef Alisa has cultivated through food, love, and fellowship." If you're in LA and want to attend, you can pick up a ticket for $35 here. Not in LA and love soul food? Head to the Gofundme page to donate there.
