“You can’t wash this one away by shaking my hand and saying you’re sorry.”

After initially thanking him for his response to the violent turn protests in Charlottesville took last week, the mother of the young woman killed during a counter protest now refuses to speak to Donald Trump.

In an interview with Good Morning America's Robin Roberts, Susan Bro, mother of Heather Heyer, said after initially missing calls from Trump's team, she doesn't even want to speak to him anymore. When asked directly by Roberts if she'd spoken with Trump yet, Bro was succinct: "I have not and will not," she said. "I saw an actual clip of him at a conference equating the protesters, like Miss Heyer, with the KKK and the white supremacists. You can't wash this one away by shaking my hand and saying I'm sorry. I'm not forgiving that."

Heyer was part of a counter protest organized to speak out against white nationalists gathered to protest the removal of a Confederate monument and was killed when a car rammed into the group she was a part of. Watch the GMA interview, below.
