Tina Turner Musical Coming to Broadway Fall 2019

Tina, the jukebox musical that tells the story of the icon's life, is coming to Broadway the fall of 2019.

Ms. Turner said, "Bringing this musical to life on stage and working with this team has meant so much to me, I feel that it is in many ways a culmination of my career. London audiences have been and continue to be extraordinary. Now, the bright lights of Broadway are calling, and I'm very excited to share this beautiful show with New York audiences next year."

Currently, the show has been running in the West End in London and will be running until July. Prior to coming to Manhattan, the musical will be making a quick run in Hamburg, Germany.

Tali Pelman, the producer and group creative managing director at Stage Entertainment, said "Working with the incomparable Tina Turner has been an exceptional experience. She has made it her mission to tell her story with raw honesty and grit. She is an inspiration for all of us. We cannot wait for Broadway audiences to experience the power of TINA."

Shuffle Along's Adrienne Warren is currently playing the legendary rock icon in London.

According to the New York Times, she is expected to star in the New York production too, but casting has not yet been determined.
