Cynthia Nixon appears to be preparing for a gubernatorial run for office, according to NY1.
Sources tell the local news site that the Sex and the City star has begun assembling a staff for her campaign, and is talking with Rebecca Katz and Bill Hyers, who led mayor Bill De Blasio to victory in 2013.
While Nixon has yet to declare an official run for office, a spokesperson from her camp told NY1:
"Many concerned New Yorkers have been encouraging Cynthia to run for office, and as she has said previously, she will continue to explore it. If and when such a decision is made, Cynthia will be sure to make her plans public."

If she is to run, her race will really begin with the Democratic primary in September, where she'd challenge the incumbent Andrew Cuomo. Since governors serve for four years, it unfortunately means a presidential run is less likely.
