Barack Obama Reportedly in Talks to Become Netflix Producer

Barack Obama may have found his post-presidency platform with the caliber and reach to remain an active, relevant voice in American politics. According to The New York Times, Obama is in "advanced negotiations" with streaming giant Netflix to produce a series of shows.

Though details are sparse, it's reported that Obama's projects will not act as Trump counterprogramming or a direct response to conservative media outlets. Instead, the focus will be on "inspirational stories," which the Obama's are sure to have in spades. The Times even suggests a hypothetical show where the former president moderates a conversation about subjects that helped define his presidency like health care, voting rights, immigration, foreign policy, and climate change.
No matter what content the Obamas and Netflix decide upon, there is no doubt a viewership eager for more Barack and Michelle.
