The singer-songwriter fired off a series of tweets yesterday about her identity.
Singer-songwriter Kehlani has come out as queer on Twitter over the weekend--though some of the tweets have since been deleted.
Initially, she wrote:
"Cuz i keep geddin asked.. i'm queer. Not bi, not straight. i'm attracted to women, men, REALLY attracted to queer men, non binary people, intersex people, trans people. lil poly pansexual papi hello good morning. does that answer your questions?" And continued: "if ur attracted to a man and then change your energy up when you find out he's sexually ambiguous or queer, thass gross. you bout to miss out on some fye shit."
Later on, she deleted the initial tweets, explaining she hadn't meant to offend anyone (twitter users took issue with some of her definitions for LGBTQ terms--specifically how she'd described bisexuality.) She went on to explain her fluidity and her earnestness to understand and not offend. We love you, Kehlani!
