A queer fan talked to Justin Bieber about dealing with homophobic religious spaces after he left a service at Hillsong Church in New York this week, as Attitude reported. She asked him how the service was, questioning if Bieber's church is inclusive to the queer community - to which he replied it was.
"Is it? Cause I haven't been to church in a while, cause like, I'm trying to find a place that is inclusive of everybody," the fan said. "I like, came out as queer not long ago, so I'm trying to find a nice place. Cause no one is nice, everyone is so awful."
"That's the sad thing, though, religion can be like that sometimes," Bieber replied. "That breaks my heart for you. I'm so sorry; that's not okay."
Bieber then offered the queer fan to come check out Hillsong for herself.
"Well if you ever want to come and hang at one of the services, any of them would love to have you," he said. "Seriously, you're more than welcome to come anytime. Give me a hug."
