Harvey Weinstein Was Just Charged With More Sex Crimes

After pleading not guilty to original charges earlier this month, Harvey Weinstein has been charged with even more sex crimes.

Earlier today, Weinstein, whose spent decades allegedly sexually harassing and assaulting women, was charged with an additional count of criminal sexual act in the first degree for a woman he had a forced sex act against in 2006, as well as two counts of predatory sexual assault, a Class A-II felony.

"A Manhattan Grand Jury has now indicted Harvey Weinstein on some of the most serious sexual offense that exist under New York's Penal Law," said District Attorney Cyrus Vance in a statement. "This indictment is the result of the extraordinary courage exhibited by the survivors who have come forward. Our investigation continues."

These new charges are added to previous rape and criminal sexual act charges made against Weinstein, who opened the floodgates to examine and eradicate the sexual misconduct problem plaguing the entertainment industry with the accusations made against him.
