Last month, fans speculated that Jason Mraz came out as bisexual after Billboard published the "I'm Yours" singer's love letter to the LGBTQ community.
After thanking the LGBTQ community for their strength and perseverance, Mraz ended the letter by writing:
We still have a long way to go
But know
I am bi your side.
All ways.
In an new interview with Billboard yesterday, Mraz opened up about his sexuality, confirming his attraction to multiple genders.
"Honestly, I didn't realize [the letter] was going to be so telling," the 41 year-old singer said. "But I've had experiences with men, even while I was dating the woman who became my wife. It was like, 'Wow, does that mean I am gay?'"
He continued, "And my wife laid it out for me. She calls it 'two spirit,' which is what the Native Americans call someone who can love both man and woman. I really like that."
Mraz met his wife, Christina Carano in 2011. The couple had an intimate wedding four years later in 2015.
That day, he posted a picture of the wedding to Instagram writing in the caption, "Today I was made the luckiest man in the world."
