This is not the first time it's been vandalized by a pickaxe.

A man in Hollywood has been arrested after turning himself in for reportedly using a pickaxe to destroy President Trump's star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. The event occurred earlier this morning, and is among a continued series of vandalism directed at Trump's star.

NBC Los Angeles reporter Jonathan Gonzalez has since tweeted about the incident.

"So this just happened again... somebody used a pick axe to destroy Donald Trump's star on the Walk of Fame. Still trying to learn more, but we know it's been vandalized multiple times, just never on this level," he said.

Also from NBC Los Angeles, reporter Sydney Kalich tweeted about people "taking pieces of the rubble" from the star.

The last serious episode of vandalism to the star occurred in 2016 when James Otis was filmed attempting to pulverize Trump's star first inducted to the Walk of Fame on January 16, 2007.

Otis was later charged with felony vandalism, and is now undergoing three years probation since the incident.
