100 Women Dressed as Handmaids Protest Mike Pence in NYC

Vice President Mike Pence arrives in New York City today to meeet with the Department of Homeland Security's National Cybersecurity Summit.
They'll have their discussiion at the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House at 1 Bowling Green in Lower Manhattan; DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and Secretary of Energy Rick Perry will all be in attendance.

But before he's able to meet with these government officials, Pence is expected to meet with another group of powerful people: 100 women dressed as Handmaid's Tale Handmaids, white bonnets and all.
The activism group Refuse Fascism has organized the rally against the VP, and told Metro New York: "Mike Pence is a Christian fascist theocrat for whom The Handmaid's Tale is a model. The Bible is used to force women to bear children against their will, to persecute LGBTQ people, to tear immigrant children from parents."
