Gay Porn Star Wesley Woods Attacked in WeHo Gay Bashing

You may know Wesley Woods as one of today's hottest gay pornstars. Or if you follow him on Instagram, you probably know him as "your friendly neighborhood hoe." He uses his social media to dispense valuable advice and pieces of wisdom about sex.

But this weekend, he took to his socials with some more somber news. With a cut lip and a bruised nose, he explained that on Wednesday, August 8, he and a friend were attacked in what appears to be a gay bashing. This gay bashing happened in West Hollywood of all places, a mecca for the Los Angeles LGBTQ community.

But his video wasn't for sympathy points. It was to impart a cautious reminder to his queer followers to be vigilant, even in places they think they're safe.

"I'm not posting this video for sympathy, I'm posting this video for awareness," he says in the video. "You're not always safe in the places where you think you are. Always have someone next to you. Always be aware of your surroundings. And be prepared to fight for your life."

It's an unfortunate reminder that we live in some very dangerous times for LGBTQ people, regardless of the progress we've made.
