John Krasinski, star of the iconic 2000s sitcom The Office and most recently named People's Sexiest Man Alive, is being transvestigated on Fox News.
Yes, you read that correctly. The recent, and very baffling, segment aired on The Five when Greg Gutfeld announced that he thinks "it's great that People has dominated [sic] — or announced — that a trans male can be the sexiest one alive."
Wait, what???? Let's dive into this theory, shall we?
Who is John Krasinski?
The actor and producer most notably starred as Jim Halpbert in the nine-season run of NBC's The Office, as well as directed and starred in the 2018 horror film A Quiet Place. One of his more recent roles we loved him in was in Doctor Strange's Multiverse of Madness where he, quite literally, got obliterated by Wanda Maximoff. (Now that's cinema!)
Krasinski is also married to his A Quiet Place co-star Emily Blunt and the two have two children together.
Who is this Greg Gutfeld?
Gutfeld is an aspiring comedian and pro-Trump political commentator who appears regularly on Fox News. A Google search of his name supplies headlines like "Constant demonization backfired and made Trump appear appealingly dangerous" and "The losers have to face reality." He also proclaims himself to be the "King of Late Night" on his website.
What did Gutfield say about John Krasinski?
After declaring that "a trans male can be the sexiest one alive," Gutfeld went on to add, "Krasinski never talks about it, but he’s trans. You know that?”
“No, I didn't know that," answered co-host Jesse Watters.
"Yes, he's trans, he's trans!" Gutfeld replied.
Waters goes on to question People's definition of sexy, adding, "Can we cut to the shirt off, please?" When the image appears, Waters asked the table, "Is it the beard?"
A female host responded, "I hate the beard thing," and Gutfeld again chimed in, "That’s what trans men do."
Why are people thinking/believing this insane theory?
To be frank, we have little to no idea. We're not sure where it came from and we're not the only ones confused, but as a self-proclaimed comedian, it's a possibility that this is Gutfeld's attempt at a joke.
Krasinski has yet to respond to the speculation.
