Gays had a new internet favorite for about five minutes before discovering that he’s a Trump-loving, Beyoncé-hating conservative.
Kim Kardashian’s underwear and shapewear brand Skims unveiled some new photos yesterday featuring professional athletes Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Neymar Jr., and Nick Bosa. All three men were photographed in nothing but boxers.
Gays across the internet rushed to declare their love for Bosa, a defensive end who plays for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL. Bosa is white, has lots of muscles, and a square jaw.
Almost as soon as the gays were on Bosa, videos and tweets came out showing that inside of that ripped body are some pretty ignorant and hateful brains.
In a post showing some of his old, resurfaced tweets, Bosa is seen saying things like “Kaepernick is a clown,” in reference to former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who famously knelt during the national anthem before games in protest of police brutality and racial inequality.
He also tweeted “Beyoncé’s music is complete trash,” said “I love this man” about Donald Trump, and posted other MAGA and Republican talking points.
Another tweet shows an interview he did a few years ago where he again talked even more about his opinions on Beyoncé and Trump.
“I don’t like the fact that she has to make everything such a big political statement,” he said when asked why he’s not a fan of Beyoncé.
“Yes, big fan,” he answered when the interviewer asked if he admired Donald Trump. “He brings a charisma to the table that no other candidate that I’ve seen in my lifetime, so I think we need change.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Shea Couleé didn’t mince her words at all, calling out both thirst for the conservative and what they see as silence from the gay community about US support of Israel.
“A lot of you gays have been real quiet about the genocide our tax dollars are paying,” the tweeted. “Yet have been SO LOUD and quick to thirst after a basic, conservative straight dude. As usual I see your priorities are in the right place…”
