Music Icon Tina Turner Dead at 83

Grammy-winning music legend Tina Turner has passed away.

According to a report from Variety, the eight-time Grammy winner was 83 years of age and was living in Switzerland at the time of her death.

"Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll’ has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland," her representative told the trade publication in an official statement. "With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model."
