Daddy Issues Brings London Flair to New Los Angeles Party
Having daddy issues never looked so good. Last night, Los Angeles queens left the hills of Hollywood and entered downtown hotspot The Lash for a Pride party with a British flair. Co-founded by Borja Pena and Ollywood, London-based party Daddy Issues launched its new monthly LA residency with a sweaty, swirling bash. While Pena DJed alongside New Orlean's Bouffant Bouffant and LA's own Mike ETC, furry daddies and models that included Shaun Ross and Joel Mingott death dropped to the music with high fashion hipsters and musician AB Soto. House techno and disco fused with fresh, underground tracks late into the night as sexy gogo guys shook their asses in custom pink underwear courtesy of lingerie designer Menagerie Intimates.
When the sweat was sufficiently dripping off abs, faces, and even the walls, custom Hey Rooney t-shirts were launched into the crowd to satiate the partiers and provide them with their morning-after walk of shame outfit. By the time the music stopped spinning and the dancers stopped voguing for their lives, it became clear that Daddy Issues is the new go-to for LA's most sensual queers. Missed this party, but ready to swirl next month? Head to Daddy Issues to keep up with the monthly parties and keep a look out for the New York "pop up" later this year.
