Hello Out readers.

Today is National Trans Day of Remembrance, a day when we honor the memory of trans people whose lives were lost in acts of violence. It's an especially sad day this year, when many trans Americans are fearing the worst will come when Trump takes office for a second term in January.

While we honor those we lost, it's also important to highlight some happy trans stories about living trans people. Thankfully, we have this profile of trans influencer Alessandra Miller, an update on the very demure Jools Lebron, and a roundup of trans TikTokers talking about the importance of being seen.

In honor of actress Karla Sofía Gascón, who will hopefully become the first trans actor nominated for an Oscar for her fearless and stunning performance in Emilia Pérez, we also have a list of 16 trans actors who have earned major acting award nominations!

What are you doing on Trans Day of Remembrance to keep the trans community in your mind and lift up trans people?
